The Great Gatsby movie review by Michael John Kelly
This is a visual feast. First of all, the graphics. Believe me when I say I literally thought I saw Shreck and his pals up there! But good luck pointing him out, the first third of this movie has so much to look at. If you have ever wanted to see a movie showing everything ever in the world.
But then sadly after you get the girls secret it slows down. Starring the most boring girl ever in movies that I cannot figure out why she is in a lot of them and all those hunks want to make love to her? My wife and I don’t go to the movies to see these men fall in love with low 8s. And then 1000 hours later the great Gatsby gets shot from a misunderstanding. Perhaps you are wondering if this movie admits it is from the greatest American novel. You will know it does when the haunted words of Fitzgerald are literally writing on the screen in artistic expressive scenes. Even one time the saddest words were snowflakes falling. Truly moving seven people who applauded when credits rolled. So easily you can say this is a movie that sticks to you. As we returned to our cars mall parking spot. A red light marked its occupied space in a sea of empty green lit spaces. It was easy to think of all of them being Daisy’s dock. Luckily my wife and I decided to get married the first time.
